The partnership of Quah & Yeap was established on 15th July 1995 and comprises of two (2) founder partners, Mr. Quah Chiang Fu and Mr. Alfred Yeap Dah Long and subsequently Ms. Mary Lim Hooi See joined in as third partner in 01st June 2012 with five (5) legal assistants, Ms Pushpalatha a/p Valitherm, Miss Lim Beng Yew, Ms Salvani Binti Mahasan, Ms Maureen Tay Huey Ming, and Mr Edmund Anthony Hermon .
Clerical Staff And Support
Our firm has twenty three (23) staff member, all of whom possess considerable years of experience in the legal field. Their experience and steadfast continuity of service in our firm is an asset that will stand us in good stead.
Mr. Alfred Yeap Dah Long has been active in legal practice more than sixteen (16) years and is conversant with civil litigation in particular contractual disputes, bankruptcy, foreclosure proceedings, debt recovery cases, tort cases, winding-up proceedings, family law cases, conveyancing and banking & financial institutions legal loans documentation estate administration. Mr. Alfred Yeap is well equipped in banking matters and familiar with foreign banking and property laws. He is a senior lawyer with the Malaysian Bar with effect from 5th December 2001. In March 2005, he has just obtained his Master of Business Administration from Washington International University, U.S.A he is a member of Disciplinary Board of Bar Council since 1st June 2008.
Mr. Quah Chiang Fu has been active in legal practice for about Fifteen (15) years and is conversant with civil litigation in particular contractual disputes, foreclosure proceedings, bankruptcy matters, debt recovery cases, tort cases, winding-up proceedings, cases concentration on corporate acquisition and capital restructure. Mr Quah is a senior lawyer with effective year 2002
Ms Mary Lim Hooi Graduated from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom with L.L.B (Hons) and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on the 14th day of October 2000 by virtue of her Certificate in Legal Practice in University of Malaya.
Ms Mary Lim Hooi See has gained her experience in Corporate Real Estate with M/s Allen & Geldhill, Advocates & Solicators, Singapore, dealing with matters including but not limited to leases and due diligence for merges and/ or take-overs of companies from the period of November 2000 till December 2001 before returning to Penang. Thereafter, she was attached to M/s Lim Cheng Poh, Lim & Rahim, Advocates & Solicitors, Penang from February 2004 and was practicing in the area of banking litigation and general civil litigation before joining M/s Ajmer, Sandhu & Ong, Advocates & Solicitors, Penang form March 2004 to August 2005 in their conveyancing department.
Ms Mary Lim Hooi See has been active in legal practice for about ten (10) years and is conversant in civil litigation, conveyancing, corporate and banking & financial institutions legal loan documentation.
The Legal Assistants
Ms. Pushpalatha a/p Valitherm holds an L.L.B. (Hons) degree from the University of London, United Kingdom and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 13th day of February 1999 by virtue of her Certificate in Legal Practice in University Malaya and Nine months chambering at Messrs J.R Samuel & Associates, Advocates & Solicitors Petaling Jaya and from 15th March 1999 to 31st January 2002 as a legal assistant at M/s Selva Mogan Bala & Associates, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
Ms. Pushpalatha a/p Valitherm has been active in legal practice for about twelve (12) years and is conversant with civil litigation in particular contractual disputes, bankruptcy, foreclosure proceedings, debt recovery cases tort cases, winding-up proceedings, family law cases criminal cases, personal injury, death, industrial Court matters, Labour matters and conveyancing and banking & financial institution legal loans documentation.
Miss Salvani Binti Mahasan graduated from Law Faculty of University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, Selangor in 2012. Upon completing her L.L.B. (Hons) she chambered at Messrs Ching, Tan & associates and was called to the Bar in 28th December, 2012. During her chambering, she focused on Conveyancing matters such as preparing direct purchase and subsales agreement and Perfection of Transfer & Charge. Miss Salwani Binti Mahasan has on 15/01/2013 joined our firm and she is employed as legal Assistant in our firm in Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur Branch.
Ms Lim Beng Yew graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) with L.L.B (Hons.) degree. She chambering at Messrs GF Lim & Associates, Perai Penang and called to the Bar on 25/6/2010. From 1/7/2010 to 31/7/2011 she joined Messrs GF Lim & Associates, Parit Buntar Branch as a Legal Assistant and from 1/9/2011 to 15/4/2012 she joined Messrs A. Rajadurai & Associates as Legal Assistant. During her practice, she focused on conveyancing matters such as preparing direct purchase and sub-sales agreements, bank loan documentations, tenancy agreement and will. She also focused on probate, bankruptcy and divorce matters. Ms. LIM BENG YEW has on 1/6/2012 joined our firm and she is employed as legal assistant in our firm in Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam Branch.
Maureen TayHuey Ming (Ms.) was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 30th day of September 2005; she practiced as a legal Assistant in M/s B.C. The & Yeoh from the 3rd day of October 2005 and thereafter as a partner in M/s C.M.Teh & Co from the 1st May 2007 to the 30th day of June 2010, prior her practicing as a Legal Assistant in our firm; she is experienced in the areas of law concerning the enforcement of lending securities, contractual disputes, subdivided buildings, debt recovery, succession in estates matters, family and conveyancing.
Edmund Anthony Hermon was admitted as an Advocate & Solocitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 11th day of December 2009. He praciced as a Legal Assistant to M/s Sitham & Associates from the 1st of day of march 2010 to the 12th March 2012. He is experienced in civil litigation in areas of contractual disputes, motor vehicle accidents, land disputes, tenancy matters, construction matters, debt-recovery, company matters, estates disputes, letters of administration and probate matters, divorce matters, good sold and delivered disputes, criminal matters, bankruptcy and winding up proceedings, hire-purchase and other forms of execution proceedings ad other type of civil claims.
