The Partnership of Quah & Yeap was established on 15th July 1995 and comprises of two (2) partners, Mr. Alfred Yeap Dah Long and subsequently Ms. Mary Lim Hooi See joined in as second partner in 01st June 2012, with five (5) legal assistants, Ms Maureen Tay Huey Ming, Ms Lim Ying Chang, Mr Foo Chuan Guang. Mr Lim Chang and Ms Lim Ann Gie.
Clerical Staff And Support
Our firm has twenty three (23) staff member, all of whom possess considerable years of experience in the legal field. Their experience and steadfast continuity of service in our firm is an asset that will stand us in good stead.
Mr. Alfred Yeap Dah Long has been active in legal practice more than sixteen (16) years and is conversant with civil litigation in particular contractual disputes, bankruptcy, foreclosure proceedings, debt recovery cases, tort cases, winding-up proceedings, family law cases, conveyancing and banking & financial institutions legal loans documentation estate administration. Mr. Alfred Yeap is well equipped in banking matters and familiar with foreign banking and property laws. He is a senior lawyer with the Malaysian Bar with effect from 5th December 2001. In March 2005, he has just obtained his Master of Business Administration from Washington International University, U.S.A he is a member of Disciplinary Board of Bar Council since 1st June 2008.
Ms Mary Lim Hooi Graduated from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom with L.L.B (Hons) and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on the 14th day of October 2000 by virtue of her Certificate in Legal Practice in University of Malaya.
Ms Mary Lim Hooi See has gained her experience in Corporate Real Estate with M/s Allen & Geldhill, Advocates & Solicators, Singapore, dealing with matters including but not limited to leases and due diligence for merges and/ or take-overs of companies from the period of November 2000 till December 2001 before returning to Penang. Thereafter, she was attached to M/s Lim Cheng Poh, Lim & Rahim, Advocates & Solicitors, Penang from February 2004 and was practicing in the area of banking litigation and general civil litigation before joining M/s Ajmer, Sandhu & Ong, Advocates & Solicitors, Penang form March 2004 to August 2005 in their conveyancing department.
Ms Mary Lim Hooi See has been active in legal practice for about ten (10) years and is conversant in civil litigation, conveyancing, corporate and banking & financial institutions legal loan documentation.
The Legal Assistants
Ms. LIM YING CHANG graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with L.L.B (Hons.) degree and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 22nd day of April 2011.
From 11/7/2011 to 31/01/2014 she joined Messrs MAY CHAN EIZA & CO., as a Legal Assistant. During her practice, she focused on conveyancing matters such as preparing direct purchase and sub-sales agreements, bank loan documentations, tenancy agreement and will. She also focused on probate, bankruptcy and divorce matters.
Ms. LIM YING CHANG has on 1/02/2014 joined our firm and she is employed as legal assistant in our firm at Gurney Tower, Penang Branch.
MR. FOO CHUAN GUANG graduated from Universiti Multimedia Malaysia (MMU) and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on the 26th day of July 2013. After completing his pupillage and was retained and practiced as a Legal Assistant in Khairin-Nisa & Co. He handled developer’s project and gained vast experience in conveyancing matters including direct purchase, sub-sale, love and affection, banking, tenancy, wills and probate, and settlement agreement. MR. FOO CHUAN GUANG has on 16th May 2014 joined our firm and employed as Legal Assistant in our firm at Gurney Tower, Penang Branch.
Maureen TayHuey Ming (Ms.) was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 30th day of September 2005; she practiced as a legal Assistant in M/s B.C. The & Yeoh from the 3rd day of October 2005 and thereafter as a partner in M/s C.M.Teh & Co from the 1st May 2007 to the 30th day of June 2010, prior her practicing as a Legal Assistant in our firm; she is experienced in the areas of law concerning the enforcement of lending securities, contractual disputes, subdivided buildings, debt recovery, succession in estates matters, family and conveyancing.
Mr. Lim Chang obtained his LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of London and subsequently the Certificate in Legal Practice in year 2009 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in year 2010. After which, he practiced as a Legal Assistant inMessrs B. C. Teh&Yeoh handling contested litigation matters and thereafter in MessrsLio& Partners handling conveyancingmatters until he joined our firm on 3rd day of August 2015. He is now practicing in both conveyancing and litigation areas.
Miss Lim Ann Gie graduated with LLB (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2014. She completed her pupillage at Messrs. Halim Hong & Quek and she was called to the Bar and admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor on 31st July, 2015. During her pupillage, she was exposed to and gained vast exposure in various aspects of conveyancing matters such as preparing direct purchase and sub-sale agreement, loan documentation, tenancy agreements etc. Miss Lim Ann Gie has on 1st day of August, 2015 joined our firm and she is employed as Legal Assistant in our firm in Wisma MPL, Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur Branch and is currently handling conveyancing matter.
